We are small but passionate team!

Joanna, an experienced teacher in various settings in the UK and abroad, creates all the content for Alphabet Learning.

Her husband, Matthew, builds and maintains the alphabetlearning.online platform.

Our Story

For over a decade, Joanna taught in classrooms around the world, from London to America and Australia.

After having her own children, she transitioned to becoming a top-rated childminder, earning an "outstanding" Ofsted inspection. Now, bringing her years of experience and passion for early education online, Joanna is creating the high-quality resources she wished she had as a teacher.

Matthew's journey in web development began working in London, a path that ran parallel to Joanna's, though they wouldn't meet for another decade. His passion for writing software never wavered, both in and out of work, and when Joanna started her childminding business, Matthew used his skills to create a bespoke application that streamlined the experience for both Joanna and the families she served, proving the power of their combined talents! Years later, as Joanna began creating her own educational resources, Matthew once again stepped in, volunteering to build a platform to share them with the world.

Building Alphabet Learning was a year-long labour of love, a testament to their dedication. In September 2025, that vision became a reality when the site finally launched and opened for customers!
