Resource Details
Counting in 10’s cards’

There are x7 sets of coloured cards. These cards can be cut out and used to practice counting in 10's. Instructions are included on each sheet.

The 10’s numbers on the cards are an easy to read size and the (ten fingered!) pair of hands featured on every card make counting in 10’s visually clear to learners.

’Counting in 10's - Matching boards’

These x7 matching boards correspond to the card sets and are designed for learners to place the cards on in the correct order. The boards come in the same x7 colours as the cards. Game instructions are included on each board.

Games to Play

These cards can be used in a variety of ways to make learning fun, such as:

Reveal, Order, Count

This game can be played with or without the matching boards.

  • Sort the cards by colour and shuffle each set. Each player takes one coloured set.
  • Place the cards face down in a grid in the center.
  • Players take turns flipping over one card. If a player reveals their own colour, they keep the card.
  • The first player to collect all ten cards of their colour and arrange them in the correct order from 10 to 100 wins.
Treasure Hunt

This game is perfect for getting learners active.

  • Hide one set of coloured cards within a specified area.
  • Learners search for all the cards in the set.
  • Once all the cards are found, they work together to order them correctly from 10 to 100.
