What’s it for?

This resource provides x4 reference sheets which focus on x16 prepositions: - above - behind - below - beside - between - inside - in front of - left - next to - off - on - outside - over - right - through - under

Sheets 1 - 3 focus on prepositions a few at a time, introduced in order of challenge/difficulty. Sheet 4 includes all prepositions together on the same sheet.

Who’s it for?

This resource has been designed for children in the early years, years 1 and 2 as well as older learners needing to revisit/explore these prepositions further.

Preparation

Print and laminate the sheets needed. Sheets 1 - 3 may be more suitable for learners to have on/at their desk/work station and depending on which sheet/s fit their level of understanding. All sheets/sheet 4 may also be displayed on the wall in a 'maths'/construction area.
