Resource Details

This resource introduces more elusive species, helping children build a wider knowledge of UK bird types as they become confident 'Nature Experts'.

This ready-to-use tally sheet is ready to go, just print and attach to a clipboard, making it perfect for garden/playtime investigations or forest school sessions. The layout is organised into a clear grid, featuring ten illustrations of rarer UK garden birds alongside dedicated boxes for tallying sightings with a space (right side) to count up and record the total number.

There is dedicated space for the learner to write their name at the base of the sheet (center) and at the top right to record both the day of the week and the numerical date, helping to build daily literacy and numeracy habits.
